About Westlands
Westlands is located north of the city center, the deceivingly named Westlands neighborhood houses a number of quality restaurants, bars and clubs, and is generally considered to be the entertainment capital of Nairobi.
Westlands is traditionally Nairobi’s social and entertainment centre for expatriates and wealthy Kenyans, a lively cluster of shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs 3 km to the northwest of the central business district. One of the city’s largest modern shopping plazas, the four-storey Sarit Centre, is here, Nakumatt ukay and the westgate shopping mall competing with two smaller centres nearby.

Westlands Neighborhood
It has also drawn many businesses, which have relocated from the city centre, as a strategic location for a variety of clientele mostly from the up-market neighborhoods of the surrounding Riverside, Spring Valley and beyond. Thick with public transport heading back and forth to the Central Business District, Westland’s southern edge borders Waiyaki Way, leads out of Nairobi to the Rift Valley.
Social
Staples of the scene like Havana Restaurant, K1 Klubhouse
and Gypsy Bar (this last option really being 3 establishments in one) are
always an easy go-to, but a stroll down Woodvale Grove or Chiromo Lane should
reveal plenty of dining and drinking options if you don't have anything
specific in mind. Others include brew bistro, privee etc
